Benny's Little Italy:Chicken Potato skins marinara.
Recently I took a trip to Minnesota to visit "Benny's Little Italy" on 246 Washburn Ave Minneapolis. I was delighted to see the wonderful arrangements and decorations that gave this little dive it's diversity. As I sat by the window seat decorated with pink and blue curtains, I took a glance at their menu. I decided to go with their infamous "Chicken potato skins marinara". I was sadly disappointed to have waited a solid 45 minutes for my food, but i'd have to say that it was worth the wait. This wonderful blend of flavors was extraordinary. I felt transported in time as if i'd never had Tomatoes or Potatoes before. I felt as if the New world had just arrived and gave me these new and exciting foods i've never seen before that benefited me greatly, Fun Fact! Potatoes led to a huge population increase in Afro-Eurasia. They almost doubled in populous. Tomatoes were also included in the Colombian Exchange. Tomatoes were a new and fun object that nobody in the Old World had ever had the chance to experience before. Tomatoes can be manipulated into so many delicious creations, such as this "Chicken potato skins" As you can see from this diagram potatoes and tomatoes came from North America and landed in Afro-Eurasia, along with squash and pumpkin. Speaking of squash and pumpkin, "Benny's Little Italy" has a wonderful appetizer of Butternut squash and roasted pecans. Then for dessert I received a truly beautiful Pumpkin pie with cocoa cream and cinnamon gelato. The whole meal went perfectly together and flowed well throughout the evening.
My final points were that the service was lacking and the cleanliness was all not quite up to par with my personal standards, although their food was truly spectacular and the personal were all quite friendly and warm to me. I would definitely recommend taking a quick stop in the cute little restaurant because it'll be worth it.
